If you're from New Orleans, you think of one of two things when you hear "heavenly hash"
The Elmer's Chocolate brand easter egg shaped candy, a chocolate shell filled with with toasted almond studded marshmallow fluff or
The tray bake style marshmallow, chocolate, almond/pecan topped chocolate cake dessert your auntie/mawmaw/favorite teacher used to make.
If you're lucky, you think of both, and smile.
Dee is lucky. She grew up with Easter baskets full of the former and a 3rd grade teacher who made the latter so well, Dee still remembers the cake *redacted* years later.
This Carnival Season we opted to debut a heavenly hash cookie as a tribute to one of the only flavor profiles you'll find in the store and on the table. Our heavenly hash cookie is made with a fair trade organic cocoa, candied almond, and oat cookie cup style base that is filled with marshmallow fluff, topped with two toasted almonds, and topped with dark chocolate. It's indulgent, and nostalgic, and the kind of cookie that meant to be eaten in shifts. Or with friends. Or in the bathtub if you want to laissez les bon temps roulez.
Sold by the half dozen.
