If luck is a thing, Dee has the best neighboring vendor luck in the world - especially when it comes to coffee. If you've been with us long, you know that our years long collaboration with Viet Espresso & Tea started because our booths were next to one another at a public market. This summer luck added to our coffee bae world by placing us next to Café Graciela at the Columbus Book Festival.
In their own words, here's what they're all about:
Behind every cup of coffee, there is a story worth telling. Our story begins in Maria La Baja, Colombia, where we draw from the legacy of our grandmother Graciela. In her honor, we have created one of the first Afro-Colombian specialty coffee ventures, Café Graciela. Our mission is simple, to provide premium coffee that creates educational opportunities for youth in historically underserved communities.
We believe that good coffee can transform communities for the better. So, by providing
organic, single-origin coffee we directly fund the creation of after school programs for youth across Colombia to reach higher education.Come enjoy our award-winning coffee, and see what the excitement is all about.
Welcome to the Graciela family!
¡Buen Provecho!
Hispanic Heritage Month seemed like a perfect time to celebrate these purveyors of fine coffee who are honoring their heritage by blazing a trail for others. How beautifully apropos that they've chosen the Sankofa bird as their logo. The cookie celebrating their journey is a chocolate chocolate chip dough flecked with a finely ground version of their El Dorado Roast, a single origin Colombian coffee. We've baked it into standalone squares to make it easy to pack for trips down the street and around the world.
