Oatmeal Raisin cookies just feel American. When we thought about remixing them to celebrate freedom, it felt right to start with our nation's colors and then add a nod to a crop that flourished in our country because of the skilled forced labor of enslaved Africans - rice.
So, we pulled the raisins, added craisins, rice square cereal, & dried blueberries and found ourselves with something special. And gluten-sensitive. We think you'll love it no matter your culinary practice or what nation you call home.
