This summer we had the honor of designing a collection of cookies that celebrated several authors at the Columbus Book Festival. Of all the gorgeous and delicious things we created, the cookie in honor of The Quince Project by Jessica Parra was Deez Kids' clear favorite.
And with good reason. The shortbread cookie contains real fruit powder from dried dragon fruit and guava. It tastes like tropical punch in cookie form. AND it has a fun pop of crunch from a sprinkle of sparkling sugar. Its bright color is meant to call to mind both the cover of the book, and the spirit of a quinceañera dress. Somehow soft, bold, and beautiful all at once.
